A pretty young songbird found murdered on Hollywood Boulevard. With Mark Atha, Guy Bolling, Mark Bramhall, Ken Butler. The explanation was sketchy and I didn't understand it. Murder on the Yellow Brick Road: Directed by Ross Hagen. The yellow brick road definition: the road to success or happiness (in the film the Wizard of Oz the yellow brick road. I wanted more 1940 backstory, less footage of incompetent "researchers" wandering around lost in the woods. Every character ends up with a different fate because of who they are. And why did the whole town take off in 1940, while the modern-day residents of Friar remain safely in town with no compulsion to follow the Yellow Brick Road? I also believe the writers got their fairy tales mixed up the compulsion to keep following the road is more Pied Piper than Wizard of Oz, and it doesn't kick in until you're halfway up the mountain.so, again, this is inconsistent since the original townspeople took off in a group from town, and some bodies and a survivor were later found by rescuers who did not go crazy or keep following the road to doom. We purposely left the ending open for interpretation because this movie is about the journey- where our characters end up at the end of YellowBrickRoad is dependent on their fears and motivations. The present-day investigators do not attempt to track down the sole survivor they don't do much research, just take off into the woods to meet their fate. The unique part of YELLOWBRICKROAD is not what happens to the people who enter the woods hoping to retrace the steps of the townspeople who vanished in 1940 the intriguing story is the 1940 event itself, and this is barely mentioned or explored. 1940: the entire population of Friar, New Hampshire walked up a winding mountain trail, leaving everything behind. But I can think of many fates that are worse, especially in horror movies. Yes, becoming hopelessly lost in the woods is hardly pleasant, especially if your friends go insane and try to kill you. You may feel differently, especially if you think THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT was the scariest movie ever made. Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, The Wizard of Oz. This is one of those movies with an interesting premise & a dynamite backstory that, somehow, fails to live up to its promise.but that's just my opinion. You have no power here Begone, before somebody drops a house on you, too. With Margaret Pellegrini, Rob Marshall, Joan Leslie, Beverly DAngelo. In the movie, Dorothy and her friends follow the yellow brick road in search of the magical Wizard of Oz, only to find they had what they were looking for all. Not the best - but watch & judge for yourself The Yellow Brick Road and Beyond: Directed by Troy Szebin.
